
Advanced Manufacturing Tech Crawl and Fireside Chat with Ed Case
The Hawaii Advanced Manufacturing Technology showcase event was held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Pacific Impact Zone Headquarters. The event brought together Congressman Ed Case, the Pacific Impact Zone, United States Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM), Hawaii State Government representatives, and local industry leaders.
The purpose of the event was to demonstrate to Congressman Case that Advanced Manufacturing had become a growing contributor to local industry and a strategic asset to the Department of War. The agenda included arrival at 0900, followed by technology demonstrations from 0905 to 0955 featuring bio-manufacturing, alternative housing, and naval unmanned systems.
From 1000 to 1100, moderated by Kevin Miyashiro, PIZ CEO,Congressman Case delivered a fireside chat and highlight remarks on what commercial-first, defense-ready Advanced Manufacturing means for Hawaii, America, and the Indo-Pacific region, with participation from Dr. Mike vonFahnestock (INDOPACOM J8) and strategist George Yarbough (ERC Fellow with GSY Consulting).
